Despite it not being term time, Hughes Hall boat club has been busy for the past month or so with our own Summer Rowing Program. We’ve invited any students/staff who might be interested in learning how to row as a novice and also kept up a senior rowing program in a Four.
On the 26th of August, Hughes Hall competed in the Coxed Four event in the Cambridge Regatta 2017 hosted by the Cantabrigian Rowing Club. After the initial time trial race in the morning, they were placed in the Final B category to go up against a City boat, side-by-side.
In the final, Hughes Hall came off strong right from the start to take the lead and left the City boat behind to win the race easily. Congrats to Nazhif Zaini, Jonathan Smyth, Svyatoslav Ketchin, Guillaume Trojani, and Sonja Kinna for the win!
